Signatures

Hand written signatures are an outdated concept and they must be stopped.

They change over time. Not all people can be expected to replicate their signatures EXACTLY every time. I admit that some people may be capable of this, but I'm not. Certain banks insist on an extreme level of precision and it is ridiculous.

If the level of documentation is that important then it must require a thumbprint instead (or as well). Or something that is far more consistent than a precision scribble.

This isn't about literacy, a lot of signatures of high up officials that I have seen are nonsensical doodles. Not a single alphabet can be identified in them.
