Yet another NIGERIAN scam !!

I will now wait to see if the person has the decency to reply. Ofcourse if he/she does, he/she would be admitting to a crime or would continue lying.

Either way, as you can see, from the start this person had a few things panned out well.

First the scamster uses the image of a white woman. Although they are more trusted, often come off as those less tech savvy. So I excused her over-priced offer for the camera.

Second, they mention an outrageous price, so greed kicks in and we gotta fight it off :p

Third, they mention that they are from The US, which adds far more credibility the very instant than saying that they are from Nigeria.

Fourth, they target those of us who will be unable to use PayPal and would turn to other means to carry out the transaction.

The scam gets even more elaborate after this if you read the links I have provided below. But fortunately this is the farthest that it went with me.

All along, It kept nagging at the back of my mind that her English grammar was an absolute mess. But I let that slide too.

I registered with PayPal, but I was unable to verify my bank's debit card by linking it to the PayPal account because as i was informed by the ICICI customer service representative that ICICI has severed ties with PayPal. Whey I asked him why, he said it is an internal matter and cannot be shared for security reasons. That got me pissed with ICICI thinking this was their fault.

So I did a little research and found out that PayPal has caused Indians a lot of inconveniences in the past , so I guess I should be thanking ICICI for keeping me from continuing with this :p
